Basic Robotics Design & Thinking (BRD) offers students an introduction to robotics, electromechanical engineering, and software engineering. BRD begins with the basics of the fundamental components and subsystems of robotics and how they are designed today. Students then advance to the integration phase of designing and developing a fully capable robot.

The student’s STEM knowledge and understanding are reinforced throughout these hands-on experiential learning projects designed with increasing levels of complexity. BRD concludes with students designing their robots that will further emphasize their technical acumen, as well as their critical thinking, public speaking, task management, teamwork, and effective communication, which are all needed for success in STEM careers.

The experiences students gain after completing any one of Stemi and Milestone C courses, will not only prepare them for a future career in a STEM field but, more importantly, for life.
