The IoT Devices & Applications (IDA) program broadens students’ software horizons by diving into software application interoperability using the Internet of Things (IoT). Using software and hardware, students will gain a deep understanding of large-scale projects that integrate app and gaming development, coding, and data sharing.

With the internet as a backbone, students will design and control a remote Python-coded device through a self-developed web and mobile application. In the process, they will utilize a cloud-hosted database as a central hub for their IoT system while developing a foundational understanding through the application of online gaming infrastructure. Students will further advance their problem-solving and refine their team-building skills by working collaboratively to simulate real-life software development
